Hello all current and future “Eaglets!”

For 7 years now, young people have gathered here at the Teen Eagle Eye Summer Institute in Princeville, Illinois to search for what is most profound- God!  I’d like to welcome you to our 8th annual Teen Summer Institute. Embark on an 8 day summer session full of fun, friendship, recreation, prayer, and study. Cast off the distractions of your life- TV, radio, computers, cell phones, and seek what is the reality, meaning, and truth about our lives. Join the Brothers and Sisters of the Community of St. John as we seek this summer to discover the Eucharist and the meaning of:

“I am the Bread of Life.  Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood will live forever.” (John 6)

We will reflect on these words of Christ and how they relate to our theme:  

To Be or Not To Be- Friendship, Happiness, and the problem with Virtual Reality

John Paul II called us to “be not afraid.” And Pope Benedict XVI encourages us further saying “YOU are the salt of the earth, you are the light of the world.” You young people are indeed a generation who has the ability to know God and discover his plan for you. Every year I am amazed at the thirst and hunger the teens have for the truth. I have never seen young people respond to a call to explore their faith with such willingness as to immerse themselves in a search of what is most profound. Eagle Eye wants to enable young people to be more than what society says they can be. Eagle Eye seeks to discover what is most noble in all of us and our true happiness, which is our final end- OUR GOD!

We would love for you to join us this summer! Our Princeville Teen Summer Institute will be from July 3-11th. Last year we again had record attendance- all the spots were taken, and we expect this year to be no different. So please reserve your spot early! We will of course be welcoming back participants from last year’s Eagle Eye and look forward to welcoming many new ones. We are so happy to greet all you new attendees into our Eagle Eye family!

To sign up for Eagle Eye Teen Summer Institute in Princeville, IL, FIRST please download the parent info packet and registration forms from our website. SECOND, RSVP to Miss Coral Baillie- the Registrar, by email at: coralb@starband.net. LASTLY, mail in your forms to reserve your spot (address provided in our parent packet). Our parent info packet, flyer, and registration forms are below. AFTER open registration is over, you will receive and confirmation packet by email, but it will be closer to the beginning of camp.  If you have any other questions, are interested in volunteering, or want to be on staff, please call me- Angela Grunkemeyer, the Director, at (815)985-7724.  Tell your friends to sign up too!
